Kayla Ungar is an accomplished professional with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in various government and organizational roles.

Kayla holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master of Public Policy & Public Administration from Northwestern University. She also pursued studies in International Relations and Affairs at The London School of Economics and Political Science and attended Lick-Wilmerding High School.

With a solid educational foundation, Kayla has held several significant positions throughout her career. She has served as the Deputy Director of Strategic Program Planning at the California Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz), Interim Director of California for All Women and Mental Health Programs in the Office of California Governor Gavin Newsom, Chief Deputy Director at the California Arts Council, and the Special Advisor for Climate, Water, and Drought at the California Department of Food and Agriculture.

Furthermore, Kayla has also worked as an Assistant Cabinet Secretary in the Office of Governor Gavin Newsom, Finance Chief of Staff, and Finance Associate at SGR Consulting. Her diverse experience extends to roles such as Legislative and Government Affairs Intern at the City and County of San Francisco, Sales Associate at Bixby Apps, and internships at the United States Senate and U.S. House of Representatives.

Kayla Ungar's commitment to public service and community involvement is evident through her past roles as Deputy Canvass Director for Joanna Rees for Mayor, Social Media Director at California College Democrats, and Press/Staff Assistant at Newsom for California.
