Highlights
Recently my team and I conducted a landscape study on the Singapore emerging tech startup ecosystem. It focuses on startups that are applying Physical Sciences, Life Sciences and Engineering to solve problems in the industry verticals of Advanced Manufacturing, Agrifood, Sustainability, and Health and Biomedical Sciences.
The COVID-19 pandemic may have contributed to the decline in the number of startups incorporated given that such startups are more reliant on physical presence and in-person interaction. However, as we transition to an endemic normal, the easing of social and workplace restrictions should create a more conducive environment for emerging tech startups to be spun-off from the universities/RIs or incorporated by industry veterans. It is definitely something we are excited about!
If you are a #corporate and would like to learn more about Singapore’s emerging tech startups, we are happy to share more.
If you are a newly incorporated #startup and would like to be included in our landscape study for 2022, do reach out to us.
