How can robots handle textiles? During the #DeepTech Meetup organized by APEX Ventures, sewts showcased their #AI based solution to help automate handling of textiles. This is a challenge as crumpled towels always look different and the robot has to find the best way how to pick it. Today, handling of textiles is still dull manual work.   OroraTech presented their AI based solution to detect wildfires and predict their spread based on thermal images from satellites. This information makes firefighting dramatically more efficient. They have even developped their own low cost satellites to improve the thermal image data stream!   These examples show that AI will become the basis for many tech solutions on the market in the same way as the Internet has been 30 years ago. No one talks about Internet enabled solutions today, the same will be true for AI in a few years from now, as Ion Hauer rightly said.   What is your opinion? When will AI enabled functions be so basic that no one even talks about it?

🚀 The countdown for Infineon Technologies #Startup Day in #Dresden on June 18 is on. To shorten the wait, we are already introducing you to a few of the startups that will be presenting their ideas on our stage. Today we asked QuantumDiamonds a few questions to get to know them better:

💡What is the problem you are solving? Current trends such as advanced packaging and backside power delivery are based on new chip architectures that are very difficult to test using conventional methods.   🔍 What is your solution? QuantumDiamonds is developing a quantum sensor that can be used to measure the smallest currents in ICs in order to detect electrical faults.   🤖 How is your solution revolutionizing semiconductor manufacturing? We help the semiconductor industry accelerate the time-to-market of next-generation chips by enabling unique, reliable and accurate testing. Click https://lnkd.in/dgC5wiBW to learn more about QuantumDiamonds or meet them live at the Startup Day in Dresden on June 18th.
