Highlights
I created the To Belonging community when I launched my book, You Belong Here, to create resources for people that were trying to build cultures of Belonging in their workplaces and the world. I have been adding articles, speeches and information to the site for people to use as inspiration on their own journey.

There is a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion in workplaces...however, there are many organizations that are looking at these as separate initiatives and not an interconnected journey.
All of these pieces are critical parts and paths to progress, and the outcome we’re striving for is Belonging...an outcome that cannot be achieved without diversity, equity AND inclusion.
When you think about all of the programs in place, it's important to remember a crucial element to this mission:
We don’t need diversity for diversity's sake.
We don’t need equity for equity’s sake.
We don’t need inclusion for inclusion’s sake.
We need all of these things to make sure that, in the end, everyone can show up authentically with access to opportunity.
These programs aren’t just numbers. They are crucial values and ideals that we must uphold if we want to ensure that everyone can feel seen, heard and valued on their own terms.
Real change happens when we design for and commit to the entire journey towards opportunity for all.
