⏰ ERC DISCLOSURE DEADLINE APPROACHING!

Did your company claim some pandemic-era ERC tax credits that you aren't positive that you really were eligible for?

Worried that you got caught up by the ERC mills claims that everyone is eligible? Those "supply chain disruptions" and "government shutdown orders" that really didn't affect your business did not magically make you eligible for the ERC.

You've got less than 1 month left to apply for the Voluntary Disclosure Program to return those ERC funds. There's some big benefits here -

  1. You only return 80% of the amounts claimed. The 20% you keep is not taxable income either.
  2. You don't have to repay interest that you received.
  3. You don't have to go back to amend tax returns to reflect the wage credits.
  4. The IRS will waive penalties and interest on the ERC funds.
  5. The IRS will NOT audit you for the ERC claims.

That last point is really important. The IRS is currently on a mission to find fraudulent claims. I've seen them come after companies already for not calculating the credit properly. They are already going the deeper level to check revenue reductions and other eligibility criteria.

If you think you might be on less than solid ground with your ERC claims, you've got three weeks to finish your analysis and if needed, talk to the IRS to voluntary disclose the improperly claimed credits.

The deadline is March 22!
