Last month I made the decision to put my career on hold and to leave Amazon. After five years at AWS I can say that I’ve worked with some of the smartest, funniest, most incredible people I’ve ever known. And - not but, and - both the culture as well as my priorities have shifted. My career has consisted of making and taking opportunities. Now, I have the opportunity to spend every day with my daughter and to focus on my family. While it took me nearly a year to make this decision, it’s one I know I won’t regret. Thank you to all the Amazonians, partners, customers, and analysts who shaped my experience. To Joe Anzalone for hiring and always believing in me. To Brian McManus, Jeffrey Dillon, Sherbeam Wright, Peter Milligan, Julie Diebolt, Julia McAndrew, Christian Lockwood, Leah Washington, Tracy Morrissey, Tanya (Blackburn) Shuckhart, Angela Collins, and Andrew Renzella, for taking a chance on joining the Industry AR team and allowing me to be part of your journey. To Douglas Bellin, Steve Blackwell, Nisarg Modi, Thad Dungan, Dean Phillips, Michel PUTNIK, Jon A., Sanat Joshi, Bill Foy ☁️ , Stefano Marzani, Ralph Hengstenberg, and Matthew Lapsen for partnering with me to build and maintain trust with analysts, most of which had no idea five years ago why AWS wanted to talk to them. To Steven Armstrong and my leadership team peers Stephanie Stewart, Matt Parretta, Shannon Simcock, and Jonathan Yarmis who helped me grow, experiment, and learn how to manage through ups and downs. I’ll be back working somewhere, some day — just not any day too soon. Cheers!
