Kristina Nechayeva

Kristina Nechayeva is a dedicated professional with a strong background in international humanitarian law, human rights, and refugee law.

She holds an Advanced LL.M degree, with a focus on International Humanitarian Law, Human Rights, and Refugee Law, which she completed Cum Laude at the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights.

Kristina has held various key positions in esteemed organizations, including serving as a Protection Delegate at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

Prior to her role at ICRC, she worked as a Senior Policy and Advocacy Advisor at the Center for Civilians in Conflict and as a Protection and Advocacy Coordinator at the Norwegian Refugee Council.

Her experience also includes serving as a Consultant on legal matters for the Kyiv delegation at ICRC, a Legal Advisor and Contact Person for the Parliament in Kyiv, and an Associate in the Legal Division at ICRC headquarters.

Kristina Nechayeva has a rich background in the field, having also worked as a Legal Intern in the Disaster Law Programme at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).

She has further contributed to legal education by working as a Teaching Assistant, coaching teams for moot court competitions at Kyiv International University.

Additionally, Kristina has experience as a Legal Expert at The Kreisau-Initiative e.V. and as a Junior Attorney at Baker & McKenzie.

Her diverse roles and extensive experience reflect her commitment to making a positive impact in the areas of international humanitarian law, human rights, and refugee law.
