Kuan-Hao Chao

Kuan-Hao Chao is a dedicated computer science Ph.D. student at the Center for Computational Biology, Johns Hopkins University, under the supervision of Dr. Steven Salzberg and Dr. Mihaela Pertea.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from National Taiwan University, with an exchange study experience at the College of Engineering & Computer Science, Australian National University.

Kuan-Hao's research interests encompass genome assembly and transcriptome analysis, with a focus on RNA sequencing. He is enthusiastic about creating open-source bioinformatics tools and developing algorithms, demonstrated through the creation of the Bioconductor R packages RNASeqR and sangeranalyseR.

Kuan-Hao Chao has a rich academic background, having served as a Teaching Assistant for Data Science R Programming and Electrical Engineering courses at National Taiwan University. He has also been involved in various research roles at esteemed institutions such as Academia Sinica and The Australian National University.
