Laney Whitcanack is a visionary professional dedicated to building products, organizations, and experiences that foster deeper connections, empathy, and understanding among individuals. She holds an Ed.M. in Adult Leadership Development from Harvard Graduate School of Education, an MBA in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from Simmons College - Simmons School of Management, a degree from the Department of Letters and Sciences at University of Granada in Spain, and a B.A. in English/World Literature from UCLA.

With a rich and diverse background, Laney has held prominent roles in various organizations. She has served as the CEO at Coro Northern California, founded The Princess Project, worked as Interim CEO at Coro Northern California, acted as Principal at KII Consulting Group, held positions including Executive Vice President of Employee Experience, General Manager of Content Marketing, and Chief Community Officer at Federated Media Publishing, Inc. (acquired by LIN Media), and also co-founded Big Tent Design, Inc. (acquired by Care.Com). Laney has also worked in roles such as Director of Community Programs at Coro Northern California, Special Assistant to the City Attorney in San Francisco, and Program Coordinator at Partners In Hope in Mexico City, Mexico.
