Laney Whitcanack is a versatile professional known for building products, organizations, opportunities, and experiences that enhance connections, empathy, and understanding among individuals.

Her educational background includes a Ed.M. in Adult Leadership Development from Harvard Graduate School of Education, an MBA in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from Simmons College - Simmons School of Management, a study in the Department of Letters and Sciences at the University of Granada in Spain, and a B.A. in English/World Literature from UCLA.

Throughout her career, Laney has held various leadership positions including CEO at Coro Northern California, Founder of The Princess Project, Interim CEO at Coro Northern California, Principal at KII Consulting Group, and Executive roles at Federated Media Publishing, Inc., which was acquired by LIN Media (NYSE: LIN).

Her roles at Federated Media Publishing, Inc. included Executive Vice President of Employee Experience, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Content Marketing, and Chief Community Officer and Head of Publisher Development.

Laney Whitcanack has also served as Co-Founder and COO at Big Tent Design, Inc., which was acquired by Federated Media and later by Care.com (NYSE: CRCM). Additionally, she has worked as the Director of Community Programs at Coro Northern California, Special Assistant to the City Attorney at the City and County of San Francisco, Coro Fellow in Public Affairs, and Program Coordinator at Partners In Hope in Mexico City, Mexico.
