Lansing McLoskey is a highly accomplished composer, educator, and music theorist with a diverse educational background and a wealth of experience in the academic world.

Having studied Early Music Performance at the Longy School of Music, Music Theory and Composition at the University of California, Santa Barbara, Music Theory and Composition at Harvard University, Music Theory and Composition at Det Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium, and earning a Masters of Music in Music Theory and Composition from the University of Southern California, McLoskey possesses a solid foundation in various aspects of music.

Currently, McLoskey serves as a Professor of Composition at the Frost School of Music, University of Miami, where he imparts his knowledge and expertise to students aspiring to excel in the field of music composition.

With past roles including Visiting Assistant Professor at Wellesley College, Lecturer on Music at Harvard University, and Visiting Professor at the Longy School of Music, McLoskey has a rich history of academic engagement and teaching at renowned institutions.

His extensive academic journey and practical experience make Lansing McLoskey a notable figure in the realms of music composition, theory, and academia.
