Continuous improvement measurement sounds like a bit of industry jargon that might not be very exciting. That’s what I thought until I got deeper into this with some of Gemba's customers. I learned that manufacturing excellence is all about how humans and technology combine to find better and better ways to make things better, faster, cheaper and more sustainable.

Fascinating, that simply training humans in an engaging VR environment to find better ways to solve complex problems might make the difference in a competitive battle between two manufacturers, but also in which one harms the planet less, has happier employees, and better meets customer demand.

Performance and productivity gains of 4x, employee retention that defies industry standards, wastage that gets close to zero and a whole host of other significant improvements just from helping to train these methodologies continuously and better. Gemba (named after the Gemba walk) is leading the charge here and I couldn’t be prouder to be helping them grow!

Today is the day that we come out of hiding and announce our new venture: griit.   Founding and building a new business takes a lot of effort, but it's incredibly rewarding. It's not possible without the support of family, friends and solid advisors. Thank you, you know who you are.   For the last few months, we've been dogfooding the principles and practices that we will help our clients with… = Making sure we can add value and articulate our differentiators in a way that makes sense to our prospects. …while simultaneously winning new business, forging partnerships, staying lean and building for a future of speedy growth.    If you're a CEO or a CRO this may sound familiar…   Why griit? It's the trait that's the key difference between great and elite sellers and teams. = To keep going when it feels tough. To persevere. To dig in. To achieve greatness, no matter what.   Having led sales and GTM teams in early-stage tech companies, experience tells me that: It’s hard to balance growth targets with funding runway and investor expectations. It's hard to hire the best talent at the right time that's a perfect match for your product and ICP. It's hard to get everything moving in the right direction, with processes, rigour, and accuracy. It takes time, money, and resources that you may not yet have.    Having helping hands that you can trust and rely on is a must-have during this time. But, consultants… hmmm… It's almost a dirty word...

Most consultants will tell you how to do it. Some consultants will spend a good amount of time with you to understand your context and challenges.

Very few will sit with you and execute the plan.

In other words, get in the boat, grab an oar, row, show you how to row, optimise the rowing team, and create your playbook for ongoing success.   We do all of that. And we've done it before as practitioners, using the best methodologies and processes, in all of the sales disciplines. We've sold a lot of software, owned numbers, enabled sellers and managed investors.   More of us will come out of stealth in the coming weeks and months and new clients will be announced as we get them onboarded.   Let's go!
