𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡? 𝐃𝐨 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐋𝐞𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐮?
What mental factors contribute to performing at your peak? What feedback are you looking for from others? Do you depend upon this feedback to decide if you are good at what you do or if you are a good person?
How strong is your self-image? How strong is your self-belief? What more do you need to feel Strong and Confident in the face of criticism?
Your mindset is the difference-maker when faced with negative input. If it is constructive criticism, then listen and adjust as needed. If it is negative comments, then let them go in one ear and out the other. Do not give the other person the right to live in your head!
A mentally tough mindset enhances performance. A mentally tough mindset pushes you to prepare, practice and perform at your peak. Even when the going gets difficult.
The truth is that you cannot achieve higher than you are capable. It is also true you cannot outperform your beliefs. If you head into an event, business engagement or meeting without a mental tough attitude, it is difficult to perform at your best. When you develop an unshakeable belief in your ability, when you challenge yourself in your preparation every day and when put yourself to the test daily you will learn to “allow” yourself to perform at your best as you leave those negative thoughts behind. When you have a mentally tough mindset, you will always have the opportunity for success. Mindsets are a belief system that grows through training and practice.
Be your Authentic Self – Not someone you think others want you to be.
