Local Progress and the Local Progress Impact Lab are hiring a Policy Counsel. The Policy Counsel will provide policy, research, and legal support to local elected officials in a variety of geographies, with particular emphasis on the organization’s priority issue areas, which include economic justice and worker power, reimagining public safety, home rule and local democracy, immigrant justice, and advancing housing justice for all. Local Progress and the Impact Lab are seeking a Director of Finance and Operations who is responsible for the day-to-day financial management of our combined 501(c)4 and 501(c)3 entities and ensuring our administrative systems meet our organizational needs. We are seeking a candidate with nonprofit finance experience and a track record of building and improving operational infrastructure to meet the needs of a growing organization with 24 full time staff and a 5.3M budget.
The ideal candidate for this job is someone with experience managing nonprofit financial and administrative systems with high attention to detail, is a proactive communicator who can engage with multiple stakeholders with warmth and professionalism, thrives in a highly collaborative environment, and is eager to support others.
