Hey Boston and NYC folks: I'll be visiting next week. Let me know if you're interested in chatting platform engineering, developer experience, and observability strategy in-person!

For the past 7 weeks I've been on a world tour, having worked with customers, prospective clients, and colleagues in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Berlin, London, and Manchester (plus side trips/stopovers in Cairns and Helsinki). It's been a fantastic set of learning experiences and I'm hoping to bring it home strong with next week's time on the US East Coast. I only get out to the East Coast and Europe about once or twice a year now that I'm working West Coast and APAC, so this is a rare opportunity to see me!

The meetings, conferences, and workshops are really the "Field" part of being a Field CTO -- being out there hearing from everyone from rank-and-file developers to engineering leaders about the challenges they're facing in the field and helping them navigate our ever more complex technical future. I've enjoyed the experience greatly but I also want to collapse in a heap and not travel for a bit after this 8-week round-the-world trip.
