Logan Green

Co-founder & Chairman at Lyft

Logan Green is a prominent figure in the transportation industry, known for co-founding and serving as the CEO of Lyft, a leading ridesharing company.

Fascinated by transportation innovation from his time spent in Southern California gridlocks, Green initiated Lyft out of Zimride, a long-distance ridesharing venture created in 2007 to revolutionize transportation to be more social, sustainable, and affordable.

While studying in Zimbabwe, where communal carpooling is prevalent, the concept for Zimride and subsequently Lyft was conceptualized, aiming to prioritize people over vehicles in daily life.

Lyft, under Green's leadership, envisions a future focused on individuals instead of cars, striving to eliminate car ownership and reshape urban landscapes through ridesharing and community connections.

Currently, Lyft facilitates over 17 million rides monthly, with impressive growth rates year-over-year, embodying the company's mission of enhancing transportation and urban living experiences.

Green's educational background includes a BA in Business Economics with an Accounting Emphasis from UC Santa Barbara.

Notable positions held by Green include Co-founder & Chairman, Co-founder & CEO at Lyft, Co-founder & CEO at Zimride, and Board Member at Santa Barbara Metro Transit.

Additionally, Green formerly served as a Board Member at eBay, showcasing his extensive involvement in diverse organizations within and beyond the transportation sector.

We’re excited to welcome Alicia Zuiker to Lyft as our new Chief People Officer.

Alicia joins us from Visby Medical, where, as CPO, she led through a period of transformation and expansive growth. Beyond Visby, she has 15 years of experience in HR at GE. We are deeply impressed by her appetite to tackle whatever challenges come our way, and her love for the Lyft brand.

Lyft’s greatest strength is our team. People here love the people they work with — Alicia will uphold that tradition and help our team members do their best work as we build the future of transportation.

About two years ago, Lyft made a really big commitment: 100% electric vehicles by 2030. Today, only a small number of Lyft miles traveled are in an EV, but that number is growing every day.

We know that the biggest barriers to an all EV future are 1) the upfront cost of the vehicle and 2) access to charging. To help with that, we just announced new earnings incentives and discounts on charging for drivers.

It’s early days, but I’m incredibly excited about the progress we're making.
