Drive by Exit Five was hands down the best event I've been to in recent memory.
And it validates what I already knew after Arcadia earlier in the summer - smaller events are here and they're better than traditional big conferences.
Less than 200 B2B marketers (and a few CEOs like myself that they somehow let through the cracks) came together to hang out in Vermont of all places.
From finding my new B2B marketing F1 friends, to laughing so hard I started crying with Brendan Hufford and Corrina Owens (or was it just jet lag, I still don't know), usually it's the space between the content that holds the most value for me at events.
But at Drive it was both. The content was amazing, the people were amazing, the vibes and weather were perfect.
This is the model you should be looking to replicate if you're planning any events for 2025 and beyond.
Dave, Danielle, Anna, Matthew, Daniel you all knocked it out of the park and should be incredibly proud of what you've created.

I’ve noticed there’s generally two kinds of people that work in tech.
Which one are you?
Type one sees it as a means to an end.
Often dreaming of quitting and buying a farm or doing something with their hands that doesn’t involve screens.
I know Dane Miller 🐝 feels this way. And based on reactions to a post he wrote a few weeks ago, he’s far from alone.
Type two wants to live and breathe tech. They want more screens, more devices.
They want virtual and augmented reality to become default.
Sometimes it feels like they view tech with a savior complex.
Don’t get me wrong, there’s lots of things to love about working in tech.
But I’m definitely group one.
Dream is to wake up early, chop wood and tend to a garden. Take sales calls during the day, back to no screens in the evening.
