Highlights
12th of June we’re hosting an international event on the topic “How do we prevent burnout at work?”
Burnout rates are increasing and the consequences are enormous, for individuals as well as for companies. I bet many of you sliding through this post know someone going/been through it, might have been yourself. It’s becoming so normal that we almost don’t react anymore, it’s just a phase in life.
That has to change and I hope this event can help to highlight the importance of the topic.

I'm all for measuring impact and result, it leads us and give us important information on what to focus on BUT in this world were we tend to simply humans and the way we function I believe the conversation is as important.
We're in our final months with the BeatBurnout project and looking back, I'm so glad that we not only collected data from 280 women across Europe we also took the time for interviews and focus groups. It taught me that a quote can sometimes tell you more than just a number.
Here are 4 quotes taken from the interviews/focus groups during our research phase.
"This is the irony of it, we are getting many company e-mails about well-being, how to relax, how to handle work-life balance, but at the same time we are buried under so much work that I have zero time to even read it. So, everything with an e-mail subject wellbeing goes directly into trash."
"It is difficult to talk about burnout, people who suffer from it are not taken seriously, it’s like others think that burnout sufferers do not want to work, as if they were looking for an excuse."
"Women have fought so hard for equal rights in the workplace, so it’s almost like we keep pushing through all the signals that tell us to slow down, in fear of being seen as weak or inadequate"
"A year ago I had a panic attack and my employer never removed tasks or continued to check in with me even though he knew."
