As I bid farewell to my summer internship with Walmart's Ambient Product team, I'm filled with gratitude for the incredible experience I've had.
These past 10 weeks have been a whirlwind of growth and learning, and I'm excited to share some highlights.
Being part of the Walmart family has been an honor, and serving as a Product Manager intern has been both challenging and rewarding. During this time, I had the privilege of contributing to projects aligned with Ambient Product goals and driving product development for the Supply Chain and Transportation teams. The sense of impact and accomplishment was truly exhilarating.
One standout moment was visiting Walmart's Automated RDCs in Palestine, Texas and Brooksville, Florida. Witnessing robotics in action and engaging with stakeholders provided invaluable insights into real-world applications within Supply Chain. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the field.
A key lesson I'll carry forward is the significance of user interviews and observations. Small user insights can lead to significant breakthroughs. This reinforces the importance of consistent user engagement for transformative results.
I want to express my appreciation to my manager, Kevin Wurst, for his guidance, and to Michelle Bandarlipe, Mike McCage, and Jeremy Nemec for entrusting me with this opportunity. The support from the team and your ideas and suggestions for solutions helped make this internship truly remarkable.
