📢 I went back and forth whether I should give a small suggestion to my son's school where I happened to see a kid's show recently, and where all the roles were gender specific. Like mayor, council members, pied piper - all boys; girls were mothers, wives, rats and snakes. I was twisting and turning from inside seeing this. And then finally I said it.."Please have girls as council members, pied piper, and bread earners." It requires effort to change the roles, change the plot but this is where we are shaping our children. These gender specific role plays make impressions on children. This is why many boys grow up believing that power belongs to them (only) - they are the serious lot, and girls are cheer-leaders. In the Sanatan Dharma that I had the priviledge to grow up in, Shakti created the world. How can women be bystanders!!!! Let her play the flute and rule the world!! 🤩
