🚀 I am officially a Prefect Associate! 🎉
I've been diving deep into all things Data Engineering and exploring how tools like Prefect can transform data workflows for political and advocacy groups. I am happy to have survived a two-day training with six labs.
For folks in progressive spaces, check out my latest article where I share insights on leveraging Prefect to manage persuasion audiences effectively, using data workflows to drive impact ahead of key legislative sessions.

I'm so grateful to Dalton State College and GALEO for the opportunity to present the "Building Community through Collaboration" module, which was originally designed by the The University of Georgia's Fanning Institute for Leadership. It always feel so lucky when I get to work with community leaders across Georgia and the topic we discussed was one of my favorites to teach for folks looking to launch large social impact collaboration.
I remember taking the GALEO Institute for Leadership courses back in 2015, during my twin pregnancy (and yes, I had to take off in August because I gave birth!) So it's been rewarding to still be requested to teach the curriculum since I did my first Train the Trainer in 2016. This session was a deep dive into what collaboration truly means—how it's distinct from networking, coordinating, and cooperating, and how it involves shared goals, risks, and rewards.
We explored key concepts such as power mapping, stakeholder identification, and the importance of open communication in building trust and sustaining collaborative efforts. These are not just theoretical ideas; they are the building blocks of strong, resilient communities that can advocate effectively for themselves. I wrote an article about my take on it here if anyone is interested in checking it out: https://lnkd.in/eMR4S7hp
