Mark Janis is a highly accomplished legal professional with a diverse background in law and engineering.

He holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from Indiana University School of Law—Bloomington and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University.

Currently, Mark Janis serves as the Robert A. Lucas Chair of Law and Director of the Center for Intellectual Property Research at Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where he excels in the field of intellectual property law.

Prior to his current role, he was a Professor of Law at The University of Iowa, enriching students with his vast knowledge and expertise.

Mark has also gained valuable experience as an Associate at Barnes & Thornburg LLP, further solidifying his legal acumen.

His extensive experience and contributions mark him as a prominent figure in the legal and academic realms, particularly in the areas of intellectual property and law.
