One of the fundamental premises of SaaS, stickiness/high LTV, is being challenged.

The news of Klarna dumping Salesforce and Workday should be a wake-up call for every SaaS executive. If an internal team using AI (or AI agents) can replicate 20+ years of work and customization from established companies like Salesforce and Workday, everything we know about stickiness and durablity of SaaS needs to be rethought in the light of AI.

Klarna is either leveraging AI to incredible effect or giving a masterclass on how to positively spin layoffs 🫠.

Nonethless, AI is making a compelling case for build vs buy for tech innovators.

If someone as big as Klarna can get by without Salesforce or Workday, it feels like a domino falling.

What do you think?

I'm hiring! Let me make the case why this is one of the most exciting commercial roles in SaaS at the moment:

🎯 Proven product market fit, with clear differentiation vs competitors 💪 Strong unit economics 💰 Well capitalized (Sequoia and Microsoft are investors) 🤝 You’ll have 2 dedicated SDRs 🤑 Uncapped commissions, with accelerators 🌎 High impact, high visibility 🚀 If you think ChatGPT is impressive, wait until you try Salesken

The ideal candidate has done sales in growth stage environments before there’s a ton of structure, has sold technical solutions to executives, has the acuity to deeply understand the challenges of modern sales teams and is excited about the opportunity to build.

One role is based in Seattle, with the expectation you’ll come into our office a few times a week. The other is remote, East Coast based.

Below is the job description. Please share it. And please reach out with great sales folks we should know about.
