You will never understand, unless you see it for yourself, that there are entire masses of people who live out their everyday lives in just such places. And even if you go, yet remain a tourist in your own mind, believing that you are watching something happen that you, yourself, are not an integral part of, then there's probably not much that Pachamama could teach you anyway.

Where to begin?
Ultimately, it's arbitrary right? Simply a matter of personal preference. But once you have struck the first chord, the rest of the design has already been determined.
If you start with the kitchen, then you'll likely proceed next to the dining room, the living room, and the bedrooms based around the kitchen as the central feature. If you start with the fireplace, you will proceed in a different deterministic fashion.
If you start with a certain style and size of roof, then only one kind of floor plan will proceed from there. If you start with the foundation, the same.
If you begin with the construction materials, then you will end up with a certain style of home. If you begin with the style of home, then you have also determined which materials will be used to build it.
What seems at first to be arbitrary is not really so arbitrary after all. Otherwise, it really wouldn't matter where you begin.
But it does, and so it isn't.
This is why you cannot simply mix and match from every conceivable component of a home and end up with something that's real. Only certain combinations of arbitrary "nothings" arranged in a specific configuration yield homes that are real. Even so-called "fusion" designs can only be fused in certain ways.
The rest of them remain in imagination, and can never become real, no matter how much one dreams about them.
Some dreams were never meant to be. And we really are better off learning this early on, as children, before we get any hard-earned money in our hands.
