Highlights
I’m way overdue for sharing this—maybe since I’m a tad sheepish about putting myself out like this but did so because I really think it’s important to encourage psychiatrists to get involved with crisis systems! It still surprises me how siloed crisis services can be from the rest of the behavioral health system. I think these linkages are essential to delivering high quality crisis care. I love my job and am glad to talk with other psychiatrists interested in crisis system medical director roles!
Do you or someone in your network love working within communities, building coalitions and amplifying underrepresented voices? The Crisis Care Centers Initiative is one of the most important and exciting opportunities King County has had to make a meaningful impact, and our team needs to work in partnership with communities to get this right. This Community Liaison position is essential to the planning and implementation of this program.
