Highlights
It’s been a historic and wonderful day on campus at Biola University today as we gathered for the groundbreaking of the new Biola University School of Cinema and Media Arts buildings. Special thanks to Lynsi Snyder for her remarkable generosity and the In-N-Out Burger team for their smiling service today. And thanks to our team for letting me play with dirt in a construction hard hat.

I’ve been down that road as a parent and as someone in “the business” of higher education. It’s easy to give other parents advice on how to navigate it all, but quite another thing to heed your own advice. So here, in no particular order, is a distillation of the advice I’ve given students and their families over the years, at two different institutions and in very different times.
