Highlights
It is with deep sadness and a heavy heart that I inform you of the death of Joanna Fuke who passed away on March 7th after a short battle with cancer. She was not just a co-worker for many years but a mentor and a good friend of mine.
Those of you who were lucky to work with her know that she was a force to be reckoned with. Her long marketing career spanned both the client and agency sides. I was lucky to meet Joanna while we both worked at Cossette/Blitz. No marketing or CRM problem was too challenging for her to solve. Her quick mind was always racing with ideas. She had the ability to elevate an average strategic plan to something brilliant.
Far beyond her work and career accomplishments, she was one of the best people one could ever hope to call a friend. She loved to cook, garden, and spend time at her cottage. One of her joys was singing in a Ukrainian choir that performed concerts all over the world. She was well-read and we shared many conversations on the most wide-ranging topics over dinner or on the dock at her cottage.
I will cherish the laughter and good times we shared over our more than 20-year friendship. She will be greatly missed. Details regarding her funeral and a book of condolences below.
