Maya Barron is a strategic researcher and community organizer with a deep commitment to advancing social justice. She holds an MPA with a concentration in regional and state policy from the Evans School of Public Policy & Governance at the University of Washington.

Maya has a particular interest in economic justice, workers' rights, and immigration policy. Her professional skills include research, organizing, advocacy, outreach, coalition building, and program management.

She has a rich educational background, having studied at the University of Chicago in addition to her time at the Evans School of Public Policy & Governance.

Maya has an extensive professional history with various organizations, including roles as a Researcher at UFCW Local 770, Strategic Research Apprentice at AFL-CIO Immigrant Organizing Project, and Graduate Student Consultant at Marguerite Casey Foundation.

Her experience also includes positions such as Organizer at Clergy and Laity United for Economic Justice (CLUE-LA), Southern California Regional Organizer at Bend the Arc, Community Organizer at Progressive Jewish Alliance, and more.

Maya Barron has also demonstrated leadership abilities as a Co-founder and Student Organizer at Chicago Students for Fair Trade, and she has engaged in human rights work as a Human Rights Intern at Narmada Bachao Andolan.
