Highlights
Was going to diminish this by saying “it’s not a big deal…” but actually, it is to me.
With my 4th post on substack, I’ve hit 200+ subscribers. It only took me ~20 years to start blogging again.
I have to push myself to press publish even if I don't think it's exactly ready.... so that I don't let the perfect be the enemy of the (pretty) good.
Thank you, friends / family / former colleagues / new connections, this makes my heart smile!
And a special thank you to my first 3 subs Elena Gorman Ella Hazard and Mara Quinn-Porzig you epitomize "sub or die" culture 🤣

One of the recurring questions I receive when speaking to people who want to launch their own consultancy / go fractional is "but how do you handle the times when you have no projects?"
I call that the "in-betweens" stage and just like most of America has embraced Taylor Swift, I've moved from simply accepting instability to savoring it. Summer time is a natural, sweet in-between for me.
I still work during this stage, but not in the usual sense. Check my latest post for how I approach making the in-betweens work for me <3
