Merrit Jones

Merrit Jones is a professional with a diverse background in education, policy, and youth development.

Merrit earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Multi/Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on policy, education, and sociology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

In addition to their studies at UNC Chapel Hill, Merrit also undertook education at Duke University and completed high school at River Bluff High School.

With a passion for empowering students, Merrit has held various roles in prominent organizations such as Senior Advisor at Student Voice and Young Explorer at National Geographic.

Furthermore, Merrit has demonstrated leadership qualities by serving as the Co-Chair of the Civic Spring Project at the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation.

Having a keen interest in youth development, they have contributed as the Executive Director at Student Voice and as a Youth Development Intern at the Center For Rural Strategies.

Merrit's professional journey includes founding Student Space and gaining valuable experience through internships at the SC Education Oversight Committee and Duff, White & Turner, LLC.
