And yet right now, that 120GW of renewables is producing a paltry 5GW. It was the same yesterday. And likely tomorrow. Sure, some days are better. But shall we spend billions more to increase installed capacity to say 200 GW? To get 9GW of production? Is that really the answer? It's madness. Waiting for wind and solar to decarbonize our economies is like listening to Nigel Tufnel rock out on an amp that only goes to 10--totally senseless.
It would be much better to build a lot of nuclear energy.
