Michalle Mabugnon is a dedicated Social Worker with a strong background in protection, disasters, conflicts, and migration issues in the Philippines. He began his volunteering career in 2008 and has since become a prominent figure in the field of social work. Michalle has actively contributed to policy reviews and developments to enhance program designs, strategies, and monitoring processes, focusing on operational efficiency and effectiveness.

At the age of 28, Michalle Mabugnon holds the distinction of being the youngest Co-Chair of the Asia Pacific Migration Network, a testament to his leadership skills and expertise in migration-related matters. His insights have been sought after globally, leading him to speak at various prestigious international conferences such as the Bali Process on Human Trafficking, the Bali Process Regional Symposium on Supply Chain Transparency, and the United Nations Major Group for Children Youth Forum on Migration, showcasing his influence and significance in the field.

Michalle's academic journey includes earning a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Western Mindanao State University, where he cultivated the foundation of his social work skills and knowledge. Furthermore, he obtained a Certificate Course on Caring for Children Moving Alone from the University of Strathclyde, highlighting his commitment to specialized areas within the field.

Throughout his professional career, Michalle Mabugnon has held key roles in several organizations, including serving as the Co-Chair at Red Cross & Red Crescent Asia Pacific Migration Network. He has also successfully led teams and initiatives, previously holding positions such as Head of the Welfare Service Department and Migration Support Program Coordinator at the Philippine Red Cross. Prior to his roles in social work, Michalle gained valuable experience as a Customer Service Representative at TeleTech and as a Team Lead for Welfare & Protection at the International Committee of the Red Cross - ICRC.
