With the spotlight on GLP1 and AI, it's easy to overlook other impactful deals (like regenerative agriculture) that are happening. Back in 2007 at the first Nutrition Capital Network, I met Lotus Foods' founders Caryl Levine and Kenneth Lee and knew that they had something special. They quietly grew their business and launched some really innovative products. They also told me about their regenerative methodologies of System of Rice Intensification (SRI), what Lotus Foods calls its More Crop Per Drop® method. SRI enables farmers to improve yields and increase farm resilience without requiring specialized seeds or agrochemicals -a true "ClimateTech" biz before #climatetech was a thing.

Some time after that, I met Stephen Hohenrieder (prior to the formation of Grounded Capital) and heard about his interest in funding regenerative businesses.

Really great to see these connections come together to help power this business in the years to come. Congrats!
