Mlis Suzanne Beattie

Mlis Suzanne Beattie is a highly educated professional with a diverse academic background. She holds a Master's degree in Information Science from San Jose State University, where she also completed a Master of Library & Information Studies. Additionally, Mlis studied Arabic Studies and Art History at Universidad De Granada, General Education and German elsewhere, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in German, Linguistics, and Spanish from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Her educational journey also includes studies at St. John's Elementary and Lowell High School.

With a rich organizational background, Mlis Suzanne Beattie has held various roles within the library and information management field. Currently, she serves as the Mobile Outreach and Community Redistribution Services Manager at the San Francisco Public Library. Her prior experiences include managing the Health Sciences Library at Kaiser Permanente, as well as serving as a Reference Librarian at multiple institutions such as the San Francisco Public Library, Sausalito Public Library, and San Rafael Public Library. Mlis has also worked as a Media Librarian and Library Assistant at Kaiser Permanente, a Librarian at the Athens Regional Library System, and as a Literacy Coordinator at the Edgewood Center for Children and Families.
