Msw Alison Paul

Director, Protection and Psychosocial

Ms. Alison Paul is a dedicated professional with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in the fields of social work, psychology, and community integration.

She holds a Masters in Social Work from the University of Calgary, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and English from Simon Fraser University, and an Associate of Arts from Capilano College. Additionally, she has pursued various additional courses and professional development opportunities.

Ms. Paul has held several key positions at the Canadian Red Cross, including Director of Protection and Psychosocial Support, Acting Senior Director of Case Management, Senior Manager of Safety and Wellbeing Program, Manager of Community Integration, and Psychosocial Delegate.

Prior to her roles at the Red Cross, she served as Manager of Detention Monitoring, Restoring Family Links Programs, and Provincial Manager of Detention Monitoring. She also worked as a National Consultant for Child Protection at UNICEF.

Ms. Paul's experience extends beyond the Red Cross, having been involved in the Realising Rights program at the Global Alliance Against Traffic in Women, as well as serving as a Crisis Counsellor at the Calgary Women's Emergency Shelter and Project Coordinator for Newcomers to Canada at the Canadian Red Cross.
