Nhut Ho

Professor, Autonomy Researcher, and Education Reformer

Nhut Ho is a highly accomplished individual with a strong academic background in Systems and Mechanical Engineering, holding a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from MIT School of Engineering, a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering also from MIT, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California.

He has held various key positions in prestigious organizations, notably as the Professor and Director of the NASA-Sponsored Autonomy Research Center for STEAHM at California State University, Northridge. Prior to this, he served as the Senior Advisor to the President of Vinh University for Institutional Reform in Vietnam. His expertise was further recognized during his tenure as a US Fulbright Specialist at the US Department of State and as a CDIO Chief Advisor at Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Nhut Ho has made significant contributions in academia and research, having served as an Editorial Board Member for the International Journal of Quality Assurance in Engineering and Technology Education. His experience includes roles such as being a Graduate Teaching Assistant at MIT Department of Mechanical Engineering (MechE) and a Graduate Research Assistant at the MIT International Center for Air Transportation.

His professional journey also encompasses industry experience, having worked as an Engineer at General Electric Aircraft Engine and as a Draper Fellow at Draper Laboratory. Furthermore, he has a strong affiliation with NASA, having been a NASA Research Fellow in the Human Systems Integration Division at NASA Ames Research Center.

Nhut Ho's leadership qualities and entrepreneurial spirit were evident during his tenure as the Founding Director of the CSUN Schaeffer Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. This diverse background highlights his multidisciplinary approach to problem-solving and innovation across academia, research, and industry.
