Ni Nanditha

PhD candidate focusing on the epidemiology of HIV and aging and the use of administrative database for health research

NI Gusti Ayu Nanditha is an enthusiastic, quick-learning, and reliable individual with a holistic interest in the health field, ranging from community empowerment to research and development of new medical innovations. Currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Experimental Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada.

Her research focus resides in population health and epidemiology of HIV, with a particular interest in understanding the impacts of HIV infection on aging processes and aging-related diseases. Hailing from Bali, Indonesia, she brings a diverse range of research, administrative, and health advocacy experiences to her academic pursuits.

Her educational background includes studying Sciences at SMA Negeri 1 in Denpasar, a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Experimental Medicine from the University of British Columbia, a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) with Distinction in Health Sciences with a concentration in Life Sciences from Simon Fraser University, and completing the IB Diploma from UWC-USA.

NI Gusti Ayu Nanditha has held various roles in organizations, such as being a Graduate Research Assistant at the British Columbia Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS, a Qualitative Data Analyst at Kerti Pradja Foundation, a Research Associate at Surya Husadha Hospital, and an Admissions Assistant at The University of British Columbia - Faculty of Dentistry. She has also had experience as an Information Assistant and in various research and tutoring positions at Simon Fraser University. Additionally, she has served roles as a Guest Teacher in the Netherlands, a Community Advisor at Simon Fraser University Residences, and an Intern at Alta Vista Regional Hospital's Case Management and Dietary Department.
