In early February, the Design Science Studio embarked on an inspiring journey alongside our esteemed pARTner, Campaign for Nature, as we hosted a groundbreaking event: the Pathways Hackathon. Over the course of three days, innovators of the Design Science Studio from across the globe converged to design creative interventions as trim tab ideas aimed at urging world leaders to fulfill their promise of preserving 30% of the Earth’s biodiversity by 2030. Campaign for Nature, a beacon of environmental advocacy, endeavors to safeguard biodiversity, protect indigenous land rights, combat climate change and propel sustainable development through nature-based solutions. They work to mobilize support from diverse stakeholders globally, including organizations, governments, indigenous communities and individuals, to achieve their ambitious conservation goals. The Hackathon was an inspiring fusion of creativity and environmental advocacy. It united diverse participants worldwide to address pressing issues with innovative, creative, and environmentally focused solutions. This pARTnership not only underscored the critical need for biodiversity conservation but also highlighted the power of collective action in shaping a sustainable future. Together, we generated groundbreaking ideas and fostered a global community dedicated to environmental stewardship, showcasing the immense impact of harmonizing ingenuity with the preservation of our natural world.
