Nilou Arden is an accomplished professional with expertise in data science, clinical research, immunology, hematology, and chemical and biomolecular engineering. With a Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University and postdoc training at Stanford University School of Medicine, she has worked in various roles, including scientific proposal and program development, IP strategy advising, and patent agent. In December 2023, the European CDC (ECDC) organised a simulation exercise on cross-border threats posed by the spread of antimicrobial resistance, in collaboration with WHO. The two-day simulation exercise took place at the ECDC premises in Stockholm, Sweden, and focused on limiting cross-border spread of AMR and HAI through adequate infection prevention and control measures.
