Highlights
Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches, you are the gardeners of your teams’ growth!
Don’t hold back and let others see what you can bring to the table.
Especially those of you who are currently looking for opportunities.
Vocalising in these areas during the interview process to show the value I can bring, has worked for me in the past.
I’ve used these prompts to prepare for interviews and remind me of my experience, they may be of help to you:
-
How did you work with product, customers, stakeholders and your team to carve out a path to deliver value and make sure you’re building the right thing?
-
What’s your approach to setting up product teams from scratch?
-
How did you build team cohesion?
-
How did you navigate politics?
-
How did you interact with other business functions not familiar with Agile and overcome silos? What kind of exposure did this bring to senior leadership?
-
What were your strategies for managing stakeholder expectations?
-
How did you introduce your teams to the idea of continuous improvement and help them measure their progress?
-
How did you help the team self reflect so they could grow by identifying their dysfunctions and put plans in place to resolve them?
-
How have you grown in your facilitation skills?
-
How have you used AI to enhance the productivity of your teams?
-
What techniques have you applied that haven’t worked but led you to discover alternatives more suited your team?
There will be a compelling story, showing how you’ve made an impact that is personal to you, behind every one of those prompts above.
Each one can showcase your experience.
Think about what you’ve learnt from others and then gone onto apply to help your teams’ performance.
Bring it!
Bring that collective wisdom from every Sprint where you’ve served a team, your mentors, coaches and every meet-up and conference you’ve attended.
If you’d like help with your CV or interview technique, get in touch via DM.
No charges, just honest advice from my experience.

📣Have you ever tried podcasting as an internal communication tool ❔❔
A few weeks ago The Delivery Space Podcast spoke at the UK Parliament Project Delivery Community Event on this very topic. But as podcast hosts we don’t just speak the words, we very much practice what we preach.
We recorded an internal podcast to launch a People & Culture Programme with a client.
Sharon Williams & I sat down with GLAS Founder and Co-Chair Mia D. to discuss what her vision was for the direction of the culture, how the culture has evolved during the company’s rapid growth and digitisation and how the company embraces diverse perspectives.
Why did we choose to use podcasting as an internal tool?
📌Podcasts can be consumed as a secondary activity 📌40% of podcast listeners are between ages of 26 – 35 (Statista.com for UK 2024) It’s a medium that many people particularly future company leaders are already familiar with 📌Podcasts build a deeper connection with an audience as opposed to sending emails 📌It brings visibility to different team members, builds trust & shows authenticity 📌It forms part of a learning catalogue for new joiners to the programme 📌Brings key messages alive 🔥
👉🏽Communication is at the heart of delivery, digitisation and innovation. If you’re looking for a different way to connect with an internal audience consider internal podcasting.
