Noreen Wauford

PhD Candidate in Biological Engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Noreen Wauford is a dedicated PhD candidate and NSF Fellow in the department of Biological Engineering at MIT, specializing in implementing advanced genetic circuits in cell therapies under the mentorship of Prof. Ron Weiss.

She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering with an outstanding GPA of 3.89 and held Senior Standing and Dean's Honors at UC Berkeley College of Engineering.

Noreen completed her high school education with excellence, boasting a Weighted GPA of 4.3 and class rank of 1/800 at Abraham Lincoln High School.

Throughout her academic journey, she has been involved in various prestigious organizations and roles, such as Synthetic Biology Instructor, Teaching Assistant, and Undergraduate Researcher at MIT, as well as engaging in research activities at UC Berkeley and other institutions.

As a former leader in student government and with diverse tutoring and internship experiences, Noreen Wauford brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to her current research pursuits.
