He is the founder of the Digital Autonomy Center (Centro de Autonomía Digital) in Ecuador, where he focuses on these areas.4 Bini has a background in programming language design and implementation and has contributed to several open source projects.1

Bini gained significant attention due to a legal case in Ecuador. In 2019, he was arrested at Quito airport without being informed of the charges against him.
