Olivia Meehan

Art Historian and Research Fellow

Olivia Meehan is an accomplished individual with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in the art and cultural sector. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in History of Art from the prestigious University of Cambridge, where she also achieved a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in the same field. Olivia further expanded her cultural knowledge by completing a Certificate in Japanese Language and Cultural Studies at Nihon University in Tokyo. She supplemented her academic qualifications with a Master's Degree in Art Curatorship from the University of Melbourne and her Bachelor's Degree from the Victorian College of the Arts.

Throughout her career, Olivia has held various significant roles across renowned organizations. She served as a Visiting Researcher at École normale supérieure, a Research Fellow at the Centre for European Studies at ANU, and as a Lecturer in Art History at the Australian National University. Olivia's expertise in the art world is evident from her role as an Assistant Curator of Asian Art at the National Gallery of Australia. She also contributed to the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art ACCA as a Project Officer/Associate and gained valuable experience through a Professional Internship at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice. Olivia has shown her dedication to the arts through roles like Production Assistant/Assistant to the Artistic Director at the Melbourne Festival and as a Volunteer at the Heide Museum of Modern Art.
