Highlights
🚨Solideon oversubscribed Pre-seed round with 8090 Industries as a lead…HERE WE GO 🚨
In 2018 I had the AMAZING opportunity to have badge number #22 (in the USA) at one of the worlds leading rocket companies. That team was great about hiring tinkerers and problem solvers. They were/are AMAZING at making incredible teams with little capital and a spirit that you don’t give up until the very end. It was infectious for 22 year old me and I knew one day, if I had the chance to create a startup, the culture would have to be the same.
Fast forward to today, team Solideon has overcome it all together. The core innovators, problem solvers and tinkerers (Mike Budzinski, Christopher Lamb, Joel Ifill, Sid Rao, Ronnie Trevino, Kait Ewoldt) put our heads together to BUILD regardless of what the venture market was doing. That’s the culture we have at this company, rebellious and hungry. I’m excited we have some backing behind us to continue to execute.
We could not have a better lead investor into this business. 8090 Industries are an incredible fund that has put trust into this business to go and ReBuild and ReIndustrialize the USA and beyond. To Garuth A. Grant Brown Andrew Irwin Rayyan Islam Kerem Ozmen it’s a dream to get to work with you guys and tackle some hard industry problems together.

Finally getting over my jet lag, but last week, I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Australia as part of an American AUKUS delegation, alongside 12 other AMAZING delegation members. Our mission was to explore how venture capital and startups could inject strategy and life into AUKUS Pillar 2.
AUKUS is a defense pact between Australia, the UK, and the US. It's all about teaming up to share advanced tech and intelligence, boosting our strategic edge and capabilities, especially in the Indo-Pacific region. Pillar 2 emphasizes advanced manufacturing, along with collaboration in cyber capabilities, artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, and other cutting-edge advancements to strengthen our collective defense and security.
It was an INCREDIBLE experience with some of the most influential players in American and Australian policy. From SecDef Chris Miller to the Minister of Defense Richard Marles to former PM Scott Morrison it was an orbit-changing experience as we extensively discussed how startups on both sides of the Pacific can really turbocharge Pillar 2.
Thank you TONS to Patrick Sweeney, former SecDef Chris Miller, Alok Patel and Dr Rebecca Won for including me in such a star-studded delegation.
Thank you to my amazing new Australian friends at CSIRO (specifically Carla Brown , Graeme Caplen, and Simonette Cox ) CSIRO's Data61, Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG),AmCham Australia, and Nuix (Jonathan Rubinsztein, David Sitsky and Sarah Nichols) for facilitating such amazing conversations and connections. Incredible stuff.
To my amazing friends from the delegation, you represent the best in startups, government, venture capital, and policy. I’m blessed I got to share space with you this last week.
What’s next? I think I’m going to find a time zone and stay there for a bit 😂🛫
