Highlights
Today marks 1 year since we launched the first wave of the Polkadot Blockchain Academy at Cambridge University and kicks off the countdown of 1 month till the start of our 3rd wave at University of California, Berkeley, with @BerkeleyRDI
Happy anniversary to the original 50 first graduates, to the PBA Cambridge and Buenos Aires alumni and to the Academy team! D-30 to Berkeley!
This week is my last week at Holberton as Chief Business Officer.
When I joined the company in 2018 we had one successful campus in San Francisco, which was changing the way students learn CS, transforming their lives in the process. And a question: how could this business grow?
I joined the team to lead growth through expansion and partnerships. Today, we have 30 campuses and counting, a solid business model with exceptional partners on the ground, and thousands of students and alumni who are making it!
We’ve also started a new line of offerings: Holberton OS of Education, licensing our products to other education partners and helping them increase their impact.
I feel proud of these milestones and accomplishments.
And it is with the perfect timing of Thanksgiving and the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah, that I have the chance to reflect and extend thanks: I will be always grateful to our founders , Julien Barbier and Sylvain Kalache for trusting me with this mission, to our directors Shauntel Garvey, Isabelle Hau, Marie Ekeland, Ashley Beckner, Marc Verstaen, Manoel Lemos @Pedro,and Eustache Besancon for their support and guidance, to our partners (too many to quote!) for their trust and ability to dream together and execute, and of course to the Holberton team past and present for all this fun and all these learnings along the way. Yannis Peyret Eric Bardin Florian Bucher Florie LAMURE Debora Basso Evdokiya Peeva, PMP Samuel A. Domitille Ripart Julien Cyr Guillaume Salva Kristine Bredemeier Lamia Himdach Alexis Puccetti,Jannis Seymens Chetan B. Sophie Rigault-Barbier and the others!
This is the end of my mission at Holberton School, but I am excited for the future of the company. I am also very excited for what’s next for me. I have the privilege of taking a sabbatical, grateful for the opportunity to focus on being and to continue to learn with my favorite teachers aged 7 and 5 respectively ;)!… until next time!
