Highlights
Hi friends. I am starting a search for a technical co-founder for https://GitRules.ai (formerly https://Gov4Git.org).
Conceived 2 years ago, GitRules reached its first public release in Jan 2024 with the help of our partner Microsoft Research https://lnkd.in/gVXtDyMb. Since then it has been deployed by our first important client — The Plurality Book project https://lnkd.in/gS4ZjgGB, and its use in this community has been featured in The Economist https://lnkd.in/ghchNWSn. It will also be featured in the upcoming print edition of the Plurality Book https://www.plurality.net/, as well as an upcoming short documentary.
Having reached this milestone, and having received nothing but positive feedback and sustained interest — from our trial clients, open source volunteer contributors, and advisers — we are moving to the next stage. We are looking to find an aligned technical co-founder who will join forces with us in raising our next funding round and help shape the trajectory of this intriguing technology.
We are looking for an experienced technical co-founder who:
- has solid understanding of systems and stacks beyond the conventional cases
- is comfortable with the Go programming language at minimum, while also being practiced enough to learn any other developer technology rapidly as needed; some knowledge of Rust and C++ would be helpful
- cares and knows a lot about devex and the current state of collaborative software development practices and workflows
- is willing to embrace radical new approaches to collaboration management, such as market-inspired mechanisms and decentralization (not related to blockchains)
- has experience leading successful products
- has appreciation and some working knowledge with cryptography and mechanism design

I encountered some of this wisdom in university CS Systems departments back in 2000.
A big factor in making engineers/stakeholders own tough (trade-off) decisions is the legitimacy of the process, where I think Gov4Git Foundation could shine.
