Phillip Long, a distinguished professional with extensive experience in academia and innovation, currently serves as a Senior Scholar at the Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship at Georgetown University and runs his consultancy firm, RHz Consulting, focusing on technology-empowered learning and societal impact.

Having previously held prominent positions such as Chief Innovation Officer at UT Austin and Associate Vice Provost at the University of Texas, Austin, Dr. Long played a crucial role in shaping strategies for technology-enhanced learning, online education, and the application of blockchain technology in education.

Dr. Long's research pursuits primarily revolve around active and blended learning methodologies, digital credentialing, blockchain applications, remote laboratories, emerging technologies, and learning analytics to empower learners in making informed decisions. He actively collaborates with various international organizations including SoLAR, edX, NMC, IMSGLOBAL, and AAEEBL.

With a diverse educational background encompassing a Doctor of Philosophy in Biology from The Pennsylvania State University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Santa Cruz, Dr. Long combines his expertise in biology and learning sciences to explore the intersections of emerging technologies and cognitive interactions.

Throughout his career, Phillip Long has contributed significantly to the field of education and technology, holding positions in renowned institutions like Arizona State University, University of Queensland, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, alongside serving on the Board of Directors for Nexford University.
