Additionally, she has been an Institutional Equity Officer & Deputy Title IX Coordinator at Maryville University of Saint Louis, Assistant Circuit Attorney at the City of St. Louis, Law Clerk at The Hall Law Firm, L.L.C., and Legal Intern at various institutions including the City of St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office, Federal Public Defender, and more.

Portia Britt has also been involved in several internships during her academic journey, working with organizations like the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation, CBS News, and the St. Louis County Public Defender Office. Furthermore, she has served as a Fellow at United Way of Greater St. Louis.
