Highlights
Six months ago, I started a podcast series with Ratio on community power. Our motivation was to improve the discourse around power, an idea that seems to be in vogue in the UK (and elsewhere). Today, we publish the wrap-up episode, a chat between myself and the host of the podcast, Michael Little. The ten episodes in the series cover a huge amount of ground and we hope will help achieve what we set out to do. Communities are too important for the vague and sloppy discourse out there. Power is too important for the vague and sloppy discourse out there. The final episode, in which we pull out key ideas from across the series, is here https://lnkd.in/euwDgJ9u
I wrote about #death this week. How #dying has become #medicalised. How civil society has been pushed to the margins. And how unequal rates of #death enabled Tony Iton to see #structures - unfair structures - at play. I have a #webinar coming up on how to rebalance dying, death and grieving, and you can hear Tony Iton talk about #death and #power in the latest episode of our #podcast series. It's all in this post: https://lnkd.in/dtykFjZp
