Rachel Lauren Storm is an experienced administrator currently serving as the Arts & Culture Coordinator for the City of Urbana Community Development Department.

She is a dedicated scholar, pursuing her doctorate in Educational Policy, Organization, and Leadership with a focus on Global Studies in Education and Gender Relations in International Development.

Her educational background includes a B.A. in International Studies, an M.Ed. in Educational Policy Studies, and a Certificate in Business Administration from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Rachel has been recognized for her international research on feminist organizing in Ecuador, receiving awards such as the Virginia M. Wager Award, the Tinker Fellowship for Latin American Field Research, and the Barbara A. Yates Award for International Research.

Her academic achievements also include the Due and Ferber Award for International Research and the Illinois International Graduate Achievement Award.

As an educator, Rachel has taught courses in Educational Psychology and Gender and Women's Studies, as well as creative writing at the Champaign County Jail.

She holds a Teacher Scholar Certificate from the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning.

In addition to her current role, she has held positions in various organizations including Outta the Mouths of Babes and the Urbana Business Association.
